Delta State offers summer study in Central America

A new field course offers Delta State students the opportunity to spend two weeks this summer in Central America. Those enrolling in Struggles for Justice: Peace, Human Rights, and the Environment in Central America, will visit Honduras and Guatemala on July 5-24.

Those participating in the class will share the dwellings of ordinary Central Americans struggling to change their societies peacefully and democratically while facing obstacles from unfair trade, environmental degradation and unequal access to land, to oppression, corruption, and lack of economic resources.

Financial aid is available for qualified DSU students. For details, contact Mark Bonta at or (662) 846-4096.
