How to read a business book

Link - I was glad to see someone else takes notes while they're reading. I will confess I don't make notes in books anymore though. I think it stems from the large number of notations in books I made in grad school. I found one problem was if I wanted to go back and re-read a book again later, I did not have a "fresh read" available. I would end up checking it out at the library just so I could read it without my original notes from (sometimes) 10 years ago. Now, I keep a reading journal (which is just a spiral notebook that I jot down thoughts as I'm reading magazines, blogs, journals, Web sites, novels, business books, cook books, etc.).
