Mississippi Chinese Restaurants: A Work of Art

Link - Most people might conclude that a Chinese restaurant is simply a place to eat, celebrate or hobnob with someone else, but Berkeley artist Indigo Som will tell you differently. As far as she’s concerned, images of Chinese restaurants can represent art. And she illustrates that point with her new exhibition, Mostly Mississippi: Chinese Restaurants of the South, on display at the Chinese Historical Society of America Museum at 965 Clay St. in San Francisco through March 27, 2005.
